Products Liability Associate



Donohue Brown Smyth is seeking an associate to join its busy litigation practice, with a strong focus on products liability defense and discovery processes. The ideal candidate will have exceptional academic and professional credentials, along with strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.


Qualifications & Responsibilities:



Active Illinois state bar license.

3 - 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on products liability.

Outstanding research and writing abilities.

Strong organizational and prioritization skills with keen attention to detail.

Deep understanding of discovery processes and document review.

Ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.

Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and produce top-quality work.

A willingness to be proactive and take ownership of projects and assignments.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Compensation & Benefits:


DBS offers a competitive compensation package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as long-term and short-term disability coverage. Additional perks include a transportation benefit, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and parental leave.

The anticipated salary ranges from $115,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional income opportunities include discretionary profit-sharing contributions, typically awarded annually, and a merit-based discretionary bonus.
