Personal Injury Paralegal/Assistant


Chicago based, mid-sized, Plaintiff/Petitioner Personal Injury & Workers Compensation Law Firm located in the West Loop seeks an experienced full time Legal Assistant (Must have 3-4 years' experience).

Looking for someone who is self-motivated, dynamic and completes tasks in a thorough and efficient manner. The person in this role supports and collaborates with the team in all day to day tasks and provides an outstanding client experience to the injured individuals. The ideal candidate has strong management skills and is able to effectively manage conflicting priorities, while understanding the needs of both the client and attorney. Candidate MUST have at least 3-4 years of experience in PERSONAL INJURY LAW.

Responsibilities include administrative support to attorneys, scheduling depositions, drafting correspondence, client contact, communication with adjusters, opposing attorneys and medical office personnel, preparation of legal documents, i.e., answers to discovery and motions, file maintenance, on-line court filing, bill reviews, negotiation of liens, medical record review, and trial preparation.

Excellent oral and written communication skills to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents. Strong organizational skills and a good work ethic are essential. Bilingual is a plus. Most importantly, the eagerness to learn and grow with our firm.
