Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney

Job description

Suburban-based workers' compensation defense firm seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented attorney to work in our offices in Warrenville, IL. Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years experience in workers' compensation matters or a background in medical-related cases to handle a varied and challenging caseload. Opportunity for rapid professional development and growth and regular client contact.

Basic Qualifications

Juris Doctor with 0-3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation litigation

Licensed to practice law in Illinois AND

Member in Good Standing of Illinois State Bar

Experience with billing

Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe

Experience with Lexis Advance

Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance defense litigation legal environment

Knowledge of administrative law and Illinois State law and procedure

Courtroom experience (mock trial, moot court, 711 court appearances, administrative proceedings, civil court, mediations/negotiations, depositions, etc.)

Familiarity with analyzing and summarizing medical records
