Paralegal
We are a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm representing clients who have suffered serious injuries or wrongful death due to the negligence of others. Our practice focuses on litigation involving medical and professional malpractice, motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, product liability, and related claims. We handle cases from investigation through trial and work closely as a team to advocate for our clients at every stage of the litigation process.
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to support attorneys in active personal injury cases. This position is litigation-focused and best suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing cases involving extensive discovery and medical records.
Responsibilities
Manage assigned litigation files from filing through resolution
Draft, organize, and manage written discovery, including interrogatories, requests to produce, and requests to admit
Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits and summarizing testimony
Obtain, organize, and analyze medical records, medical bills, and lien information
Track case deadlines, court dates, discovery schedules, and depositions
Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and exhibits in state and federal court
Communicate with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and document collection
Assist with mediation and trial preparation, including exhibit lists and trial binders
Maintain organized, complete, and litigation-ready case files Qualifications
5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (personal injury preferred)
Familiarity with Illinois civil procedure and discovery practice
Experience handling medical records, billing, and liens
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple active litigation files and competing deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working directly with clients and attorneys
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software
Trial or arbitration preparation experience
